Policies and regulations for 2005/06 season

The Champions League is a USASA Regional league and all participating teams will be members of it.

All teams will be affiliated with the USASA through the Champions Soccer League.

Teams must go through an application and acceptance process and will no longer register with the League from which they were members of. ALL Teams must participate to ALL Champions league events, functions and programs.

All team will register all their players through the Champions League Registrar at least 7 days before being eligible to play. A payment of $25.00 for each registration is due when registering a player. There are additional fees for registering professional players.

All Foreign born players MUST get clearance from the USSF. This clearance process can take up to 30 days. Passes will not issued to any player until a clearance is returned to the registrar or the 30 days waiting period has expired. Teams are urged to submit player clearances through the League registrar as soon as they are aware of such need for a player.

To prove the country of Birth, the ONLY valid documents accepted to show a player's date of birth, will be a BIRTH CERTIFICATE or a PASSPORT: drivers licenses will no longer be accepted as proof of Birth.

Each team MUST present an application to participate in the league together with WRITTEN directions or a map to their home field.

All fees must be paid BEFORE start of season. Teams will not be allowed to participate if not in good standings.

Each team MUST have internet access and MUST have an e-mail address to which all weekly correspondence will be sent. Special mailings will be made by regular mail.

All teams must be ready and available to play at ANY TIME: nights during the week, and daytime during the weekend.

Kick-off time can be : For Sundays games: Not earlier than 1: PM and not later than 6:00 PM, For Saturdays games: Not earlier than 7:00 PM, For Weeknights games: Not earlier than 8:30 PM

Games must start on time: a team with 7 players must start the game. A team that does not have 7 players, has up to 30 minutes to come up with 7 players, but such lateness shall be penalized with a fine of $150.00

Forfeit shall not be tolerated: a team that receives a single forfeit, shall be expelled from the League.

All teams must have a licensed Coach.

Make-up games MUST be replayed within 3 weeks of the postponement, at a location, date and time determined by the Home team, keeping in consideration that a team does not have to play with less than 2 days since the last game, or two days before the next game. All make-ups must be coordinated with the Games Chairman who will confirm when a make-up can be scheduled. It will be the HOME team responsibility to provide for a field for such day. If they do not provide a field, the home team will forfeit. Visiting team has no choice to refuse a date so long that such date falls within these guidelines.

Make-up games arising from a cancellation due to a National Cup game, shall force the switching of the home team advantage to the opposing team if such team was the visiting team. Such team will be considered as the Home team for the make-up game and the above procedure will then be enforced.

The Home team must FINALIZE make-up games location, date and time with the Games Chairman not later than 7 days PRIOR to the make-up date. The home team shall forfeit the game if the information is not finalized as specified above.

Advance requests for postponement will be accepted until finalization of the schedule. Once the schedule is official, no game can be postponed unless because of inclement weather or State/National cup games conflict.

In case of inclement weather, the teams will be expected to show at the field of play, unless otherwise directed by the Games Chairman. Only at the field location a decision to postpone can be made between all parties involved: the teams, the referees and the local field authorities.

Each team must present copies of the permit of use of their home field, which shall include the proper authority's contact name and phone number. This info will be used by the Games Chairman to eliminate any unnecessary travel in case of inclement weather.

All passes MUST be returned to the League registrar at the end of the season.

BOTH TEAMS must report the game score within 24 hours of the game by FAX or by e-mail to the Games Chairman.

Yellow card warnings will be fined $5.00 per occurrence

Red Cards ejections will continue to be fined $50.00 or $100.00 depending on the severity of the ejection.
